Featured in this sale is a magnificentcabinet vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This piece is 4-1/2\" tall and 3-3/4\" wide at the body. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2122 and the production year XXIV (1924).The vase features a beautiful, arts-and-crafts design of rosehips encircling the vase at the neck.This gorgeous glaze is a thick, matte yellow ochre or butterscotch drip glaze that accentuates the mold detail beautifully!The vase does show some very tiny glaze variations in the drips and skips, and there is some very minor scuffing in the glaze from gentle use. This gracefully-tapering vase design was produced well into the 1930\'s in various glaze combinations. This earlier example is one of the rarer glaze colors. Check out all 9 photos!
