Here is a superb antique Japanese cloisonne enamel bronze box.
This is a substantial and impressive box.
It measures 5.25\" long 4\" wide and 1.5\" tall.
It is well constructed,heavy and solid.
The design of the various roses,foliage,bamboo,rocks,3 birds (Ibis?) and a water stream,as well as birds in flight,all on a midnight blue background.
There is minor wear here and there but the box is in very good antique condition.
The interior is plated and the plating is worn as pictured.
There is wear on the bottom due to age.
Attributed to Inaba,it is not marked which would place it probably pre 1890.
This is a fabulous find.
