Beautiful Victorian House and Spot Motif Antique Sampler created by 15 year old Margaret Miles in 1842.A gorgeous sampler featuring a large country house and an impressive array of spot motifs, along with alphabets, numbers, a verse and signed by Margaret in 1842.Quality of stitch work is very fine and impressive and testament to Margarets skills with the needle. Colours are good, few scattered holes to linen. An impressive sampler.Please see photos. It displays very well indeed and is in a modern wooden frame which is sound and in good condition.Size approx:40 x 48 cms.An opportunity to purchase a19th c sampler, a great piece of 19thc social history.It would make a wonderful addition to a sampler collection or a unique gift for a special occasion.I will tape glass and pack very well but cannot guarantee glass during transit.
