THIS COPPER & STERLING SILVER APPLIED METALS AESTHETIC MOVEMENT JAPANESE STYLE VASE OR BOWL WAS MADE BY GORHAM IN 1882. THIS VASE HAS A COPPER BODY WITH APPLIED STERLING INCLUDING A LARGE 3D BLUEBERRY BRANCH WITH A GRASSHOPPER AND A ROSE STEM. THE APPLIED SILVER PIECES ARE CRISP AND STILL RETAIN ALL OF THEIR DETAILS. THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST PRISTINE EXAMPLE OF ANY GORHAM AESTHETIC COPPER MIXED METALS PIECE I HAVE EVER OWNED. THE ORIGINAL CANDY APPLE RED PATINA IS ABOUT 95% INTACT, WHICH IS QUITE RARE. IT MEASURES 3 1/2\" X 4\" AND IT WEIGHS 10.3 TROY OUNCES, IT HAS NEVER BEEN MONOGRAMED. THE BOTTOM IS CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE GORHAM CO ANCHOR MARK AS WELL AS \"Y 50\" AND THE DATE LETTER \"O\".
