Estate pre-owned Gorham Buttercup pattern 996 solid sterling silver 3 pint tilting tea kettle with original stand and burner. Measures 11 3/4\" total height to top of handle when kettle is mounted on stand. The kettle is 8\" wide from tip of spout to back of handle. Total weight of kettle, stand and burner is 36.3 troy ounces(1129 grams). The kettle and stand are stamped Gorham sterling 996 along with Gorham maker\'s mark and a crest form datemark that indicates kettle was made sometime in the 1950\'s. Kettle is also stamped 3 pint. The burner is stamped Gorham sterling P along with Gorham lion,anchor G maker\'s mark.. The kettle, stand and burner are all in very nice condition. One tiny ding on back lower body of kettle and that\'s it. Not that big a deal only mentioned for accuracy. The silver shows very modest surface wear. All raised relief remains crisp and well defined. There\'s a small monogram on the lower front of the kettle below the bottom of spout(pic #5). Inside of kettle is relatively clean. Handle has a slight wiggle but is pinned and secure with no damage to insulators. Pretty piece. Starts low with .
