Beautiful classical maiden masks, shell and vine rim. Pierced leaf and floral with leaf and cross pattern medallion.

Boldly fashioned maiden head acanthus body handles. Shell & floral terminal.

Never monogrammed.

The basket is 15 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 and 10 inches tall and weighs 52 1/2 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown complete Gorham hallmarks and also stamped \"Lamerie 1751\".

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The beautiful maiden handles and medallion decoration retain their original crisp, vibrant hand chased detail. Stands perfectly firm on table or display shelf. Handle well hinged and remains upright when desired.
