We are very pleased to offer this museum worthy 1897 Gorham sterling silver and enamel water pitcher.

In the Art Nouveau manner.

Formerly in the collection of Richard Mellow, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

Nineteenth century Gorham silver with enamel is rare.

Small 4 inch vases with the \"1622M\" shop mark sell for $5,000 USD and more. See a couple of examples below.

In shaped baluster with gently fluted corner. Center with brilliant, enamel iris leaf and floral stands. In an array of shaded enamel colors, including cobalt blue, lapis, several shades of green and yellow.

The opposite side with conforming iris, though here the design free of enamel. United by soft hammered, mottled surfaces. Never monogrammed.

This museum worthy 1897 Gorham sterling & enamel Art Nouveau water pitcher is 7 3/4 inches weighs 17 3/4 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown, including the rare \"1622M\" design number.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Stands firm on table or museum display shelf. The enamel work in fine state. Mild wear.
