Gottlieb Indian Dice Trade Stimulator 1938 Slot Machine For Sale
INDIAN DICE TRADE STIMULATOR by GOTTLIEB 1938
Up for sale is a marvelous rare ORIGINAL 1938 Gottlieb Indian Dice combination 1, 5, 10 and 25 cent Trade Stimulator made by D. Gottlieb & Company . This trade stimulator is in wonderful condition. This five column dice game gave you two shakes of the dice, using the hold and draw buttons. The payout on this machine is about 10%, which made it a very popular machine among bar owners.
I have not operated this machine as I do not know how it works and I don't want to damage it. I took pictures from all angles and from the back with the back door open so that you can see the mechanics of the machine with your own eyes. It looks like there is a penny in the coin shoot (visible when looking inside the machine).
I was lucky enough to buy a collection of coin op machines recently, but I do not collect them personally. This machine has been in a private collection for 50 years and is fresh to the market.
This 1938 machine is all original with no noticeable repairs. This machine is made of cast aluminum and wood, and measures approximately 12'' high x 10 ¼” wide x 8” deep. I will do the best I can with any questions you may have. Item will be shipped with insurance and will be well packaged to insure its safe arrival. Thanks for your interest and good luck offerding!!!On Mar-04-13 at 04:35:35 PST, seller added the following information:
I have a correction about the machine: The "Indian Dice" machine pays back too much, because all Aces are WILD so alot of the time the player had the odds in their favor! Gottlieb and Co. had a very short run of these machines, because many of the operators returned them because they were losing money on them. So a short run means rare machine!. Most likely what happen is that D. Gottlieb sold the rights to the game to the Baker Novelty Co. Then they changed the game to a 3 column game and added cigarette dice instead of spot dice. The machine that took it's place in 1939 was made by Baker Novelty and was called "Pick-A-Pack".
