The Graf Zeppelin was completed July 8, 1928. It\'s first transatlantic flight left Germany on Oct 11, 1928 and arrived in New Jersey on Oct 15th, 1928 - 111 hours & 44 minutes after hitting two storms on the way. It arrived overdue, damaged, and out of food & water. There were 40 crew members and 20 passengers. On Oct 28th there was held a dinner in honor of Dr. Hugo Eckener and members of his party in the Grand Ball Room of the Stevens Hotel in Chicago. The Graf Zeppelin left the United States on Oct 29th to return to Germany.

Up for offer is the Menu & Program for that evening. The booklet is in good condition for it\'s age, except for a brown line on the frontcover - unsure of what it is caused by. Also some light staining from age and handling on cover, as well as some wearing on the corners of the cover.
