Grateful Dead Backstage Pass : Jerry Garcia Art !!! : 2/26/1995 : Oakland Coliseum - Oakland, California ( CA ) : The Last/Final G.D. Show at the Oakland Coliseum ! : Very-Rare !!!!!Jerry Garcia Art !!! in Black & White ... for the Last & Final ! Grateful Dead Show at the Oakland Coliseum !!! Show #66 ( of #66 ! played ) at the Good Ol\' Coliseum - on Mardi Gras !!!!!!!Dead Heads!!!... and naturally... those who Treasured! seeing the Band play at the Good Ol\' Oakland Coliseum! -- and also... those who always! lived for their Mardi Gras Shows with the Dead in California!!! Wow... Grate-Times! - some of the best ever, really. And, this Pass here - indeed represents the Last & Final of both! 2/26/95 in Oakland!!! Yes indeed, as this is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) G.D. Backstage Pass (sticker-patch/satin) for the February 26, 1995 ( 2/26/1995 ) Mardi Gras Night Show! at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California ( CA )!!! A completely-special G.D. Pass - for just so-many reasons... wow. Firstly, this was the 3rd Night of the Last/Final Grateful Dead run of Shows Ever! at the Oakland Coliseum... on 2/24/95 - 2/25/95 - 2/26/95. And, this here Show (Night 3!) was indeed the official \"Mardi Gras\" Show! Which, naturally... meant a Mardi Gras Parade! - right during Iko Iko, and of course too... so much more! And, last - but... most definitely not least --- this Pass actually features Jerry Garcia Artwork! A Sketch, Drawing, Jerry Doodle! - which, I have actually been told is Jerry\'s creative \"Self-Portrait\" of himself! I can\'t confirm this for certain, as I have looked high & low for info on this one over the years... but, take a look yourself - and, it totally makes complete sense! A Jerry drawing by Jerry!, that sure looks like Jerry!! Other Band Members always offered up cool stuff for Backstage Pass designs, and for Garcia... it was usually his own Art! And, even one time too... a Photo of his Dog! Hah! Gotta love that. Wow... I mean the Band played a total of sixty-six (66) Shows at the Oakland Coliseum dating back to 2/17/1979 (Keith & Donna Godchaux\'s Last Show with the Band!) - and, it was-indeed quite the run. Wow, as what other Venue even came close to this Show-count? Off the top of my head... Spectrum? MSG? Fillmore? Carousel? Kaiser? Shoreline? But, I think the Good Ol\' Coliseum might just have seen the most! Live Grateful Dead!!! I sure know that I saw my fair share in there, as it was only a cool 9-hour drive from Oregon - and too... I also used to live in both Berkeley & Oakland too! And, on this night (as always!) -- you bet there was a Mardi Gras Celebration \'Parade\' during Drums > Iko Iko!!! Such a treat... and, one of the Coolest!! things about seeing the Band play on both Mardi Gras Shows, and Chinese New Years Shows too - over the years & years. The Band was nice & fresh for this run (playing only Salt Lake before), and both this Show - and the other two Oakland Shows prior, were all solid 1995 deliveries. Let The Good Times Roll! opened, Lazy River Road was real-pretty... the Drums > Iko! Rocked!! And, even the Samson came out too - Sermon-style... The Miracle was Hot! - and, the Days Between was both magical & naturally... emotional. Phil called the Box Of Rain! at this one for the Encore! And, though I can\'t say for certain... I\'ve often wondered if this Box Encore call by Phil, was for similar reasons - as he has spoke public about... in regard to calling it in Chicago on 7/9/1995 - at the Last/Final Grateful Dead Show?!? The Band did play California 3-more times - at Shoreline, in June... but, this was indeed it for Oakland. Which, has always made my wonder if Phil thought & felt that this might have been the Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well - for the Good Ol\' Oakland Coliseum. Hey, I mean if you\'ve seen the Band play there, then...you know. Wonderful !!! Enjoy !!!!!!!
