Presented is a beautiful sterling silver teapot. It was made in Birmingham, England in the year 1879 by J. Millward Banks. The pot is properly hallmarked on the side of the body and under the lid with JMB Lion Pasant, specific letter \"O\" for 1879 and anchor for city of Birmingham. Gorgeous shape with very ornate fluted work. Crimpled border. Wood handle and finial. Measures 8 1/4\" long x 3 3/8\" wide x 4\" high. Made of thick gauge silver, the pot weighs 256 grams. In great condition, light wear underneath and few tiny dings on the body. Handle and lid hinge are tight.
