The Government has directed that the issue be executed in proof finish upon a surface of 23-karat gold. Each stamp is denominated in the sum of $16 and is the legal postage of the Commonwealth. This edition is forever limited to 35,000 completed sets only, of which 20,000 sets shall be allotted for the United States. At the expiration of the brief issue period, the dies will be destroyed so that the stamps can never be produced again. From the Wright Brothers to Neil Armstrong\'s walk on the moon, this truly is the history of aviation - thirty famous \"firsts\". There are thirty (30) stamps in the collection. Each stamp is legal postage in the amount of $16.00. This total is $480.00. The set number is 15448and signed by the Minister of Communication and Works, Commonwealth of Dominica, O.N. Theodore.
