Being offered is a nice old antique very interesting and unusual South American Amazon carrying basket. It contains two walking sticks but is also large enough to carry spears, bows, long arrows, etc. and probably had other uses as well. This large basket measures 64\" in total length. The opening at the top of the basket is 5 1/2\" by 4 3/4\". It has a woven strap at the top and the bottom has an unusual loop. Not sure if that is for hanging or simply to help it stand up. The basket is woven in alternating bands of light and dark rattan. Very attractive, sturdy and must have taken a long time to complete. I am including the 2 walking sticks with this basket.
