It is in good condition, with only some light surface scratches on it, however, the seat needs to be either replaced or repaired, but the chair has been very well cared for. The damage to the seat is just from age and use. It is quite dusty and needs a good cleaning. It is made of solid wood, but I am unsure of the type of wood, and has a nice, medium wood finish. The seat is made of a type or rattan, or something similar, and is woven. I am unsure of its actual age or origins, but I think that it dates to the 1950s or possibly a bit earlier. It is a nice chair, a great mid-century modern piece, and with some repair, it could be a wonderful addition to any mid-century décor. It is 31\" tall at the back, 19\" front to back, and 19.5\" from side to side, and 17\" tall at the seat. It is a very nice vintage chair, and a wonderful piece of antique furniture.
