1st edition first impression Penguin Book published 1953. Number 942 of Penguins published.

Cover clean and stiff and bright. Cover lightly tanned over white bits. Deep crease to rear cover lower corner. Crease to rear cover middle top and middle outer edge. Spine creased and tanned.

Interior Condition is very good with tight binding. Pages clean and lightly tanned, more to page bottom edges and spine block. Crease from rear cover runs through rear pages. Pp147 and 149 have top outer corner bent back. Endpapers tanned more heavily.
