Group of 3 original vintage photos showing portraits of Olga Pierri, professor and conductor of her group of feminine guitar players: Margot Pietro, María Margarita Sena González, Sta. Terraza, Matilde Sena Gonzalez.
All 3 photos are signed by photographer \"Bonet\" from Pocitos (Montevideo, Uruguay) and Ca. mid-1940\'s. Largest photo shows Olga tying up an Uruguayan Flag ribbon to the guitar\'s neck, it\'s tinted and measures 11\" 3/4 x 9\" 1/2; other shoot portrays her playing the instrument and measures 9\" 1/4 x 7\"; last one displays all 6 feminine members and measures 9\" 3/4 x 7\". Overall condition is very good.Olga Pierri was born in 1914. She dedicated her life to guitar teaching. Concertist since very young, she participated in 1937 at the first inaugural concert of the \"Centro Guitarrístico del Uruguay\", playing along with Atilio Rapat and sharing stage with the brothers Carlevaro (both slightly older than her).
During the second half of the 1940 decade, she created the first feminine group of guitar players, also composed by Tete Ricci, Margot Prieto and Margarita Quadros.
Among her many pupils, there were German Pizzanelli, Eduardo Baranzano, Regina Carrizo and her son Alvaro Pierri.
