Description:We are bringing to you for your option to buy, a delicate hand painted French porcelain salt, glazed and gilt opening lip. The only place not glazed is on the flat base with clear markings \"Limoges\" a design banner with lettering, and \"France\" on the bottomand in the \"banner\" side marks are the initials \"W\". \"G\", & Co. which stands for one of the finest Limoges, France PorcelainFactories in its time, called Guerin-Pouyat-Elite. If you consult with Heacock & Johnson\'s 5,000 Open Salts, numerous Limoges factories were in existence and examples of their works can be seen on pages 78 and 79, but not inclusive. Other Hand Painted \"Elite\" pieces can be seen illustration #1693, but it is only marked Limoges, France \"Elite\"...not as our markings as illustrated above in picture #3. This is a gorgeous piece, in near mint condition, clearly mark and produced by one of the finest Limoges factories in its day(MD #14-205)
