Description Abeautifullarge English antique Victorian solid sterling silver \"one pint\" tankard by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, and with full English silver hallmarks forLondon 1897.Excellent quality genuine 118 year old silver tankard, handsomesizewith a stunning Georgian shape anddecorated with a fine half fluted/reeded body. Lovely heavy weight, approx.315 grams. Has a full one pint capacity.There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms.Ready to be used.

Measurements Great size, measures approx.5.1 inches (129mm) in height, and is 3.45inches (87mm) in diameter, (excluding the handle).

DateAntiqueVictoriansolid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1897(date letter \"b\").Includes the lion passant sterling silver stamp and the \"leopards head\" stamp of the London assay office. Date letter is rubbed but is just readable. Maker Silversmiths initials \"W.G over J.L\", (WilliamGibson & John Lawrence Langman- Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company). Makers details stamped in full on the base.Condition Lovely condition and ready to be used. No splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs and no nasty knocks or dents,a beautiful cleangenuineantique example.The scrolled silver handle is tight and secure with no repairs and it is complete with its original interior gilding. Handsome Georgian shape and afine heavy weight. Great size,holdsa full one pint.As abonus there are no engraved monograms or presentation inscriptions.
