This is a monumental Danish teak sideboard. An incredible sculptural form, desiged 1953 by HANS WEGNER, and manufactured by RY MOBLER of Denmark.
Upper section has 2 sliding doors concealing four adjustable shelves. (Configure them as you choose.)
Lower section contains 2 banks of drawers, with 3 drawers on each side. The top right drawer retains its original green felt lining.
The wood is a deep caramel color, and retains its original finish, with a warm patina.
This large wall unit measures 71\" tall and 71\" wide. The bottom section measures 19.5\" deep. Upper section measures 13.25\" deep at top. The top of the bottom section stands 28.5\" tall.
This vintage piece is in untouched condition, with no refinish or repairs.
The upper doors slide smoothly, opening and closing with ease. The drawers are not as smooth, especially 2 drawers that could use some lubrication or slight sanding.
There is some slight unevenness to the finish on the top of the lower section, and a small \"ring\" as shown in photos. (This area might be able to be sanded out, but it is hardly noticeable, and did not bother me. I will leave this decision up to the new owner.)
Very minor nicks to sharp corners, as expected. Absolutely no other chips, nicks, cracks, breaks, or hidden damage.
This is a magnificent piece. I have described it with a very critical eye, but it is stunning!
