This is really a beautiful musical box. It is really something special and unique. It is a musical box that you hang your wall. It can\'t stand on a table because of the music pull cord on the bottom. Pull the cord the whole way and it plays a lengthy bit of Hatikvah. Inside the box is a print of Arthur Szyk print of the history of Israel. It is so beautiful and colorful. I did some research. To honor the 1945 founding of the UNITED NATIONS, Szyk did an illuminated history of 9 member countries, including Israel. That is the print that is seen in this musical box. The sticker on the back says THORENS MOVEMENT Made in Switzerland so I would think that is high quality.The box measures about 8\" wide and 10\" tall. It\'s about 2 1/2\" deep and has a hook on the back for hanging. This is so very nice but it is used and worn. Please note that it is NOT like new and the back and sides show wear. The music box plays well. I\'ve taken a few pictures to show the condition of the box. A bit of the back lifts and the corners. That can be fixed with some glue and of course, the flaws are not noticeable when the box is on the way. I think this is really nice and someone might appreciate a used item that probably was lovingly displayed. I have no idea when the box was made. I see other people have better condition ones listed at a high starting price. My starting offer is low. I\'d like to see it go to a loving and appreciative home. Also the print looks so vibrant to me in color. The main picture shows it hanging on my wall so it looks nice but again I want the buyer to know it does show signs of age and use. It was hard to photograph so the close of pictures show some shadows but the colors are bright and lively. I was trying to take as many pictures as possible.
