The counterwas purchased 9 years ago at the original old store at Fancher’s Mill, WhiteCounty, Tennessee. Fancher\'s Mill Storewas established in 1865 by T.H. Fancher b.1799 and is located in White County,Tennessee above Fancher’s Falls on Center Hill Lake. The country store alsodoubled as a U.S. Post Office from 1876-1909. Photos of the counter show it is still in “asfound” condition along with images of the General Store/Post Office as itappeared 9 years ago & an image in the state of Tennessee archive file as ahistoric Tennessee site.

Thisstore counter has a great history & provenance as well as being “one-of-a-kind”.The partial store ledger that was found with it is included with the storecounter; as they should stay together. The ledger is not in the best conditionbut was lucky to survive in the old store.
