This quality pair of silver candlesticks stand 250mm (10\") high x 110mm (4.25\") across the base and weigh a combined 1270 grams including loading. They are both identically hallmarked for solid English sterling silver London 1905 with the makers mark for the top quality firm of the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company. They are in the style of a classic mid 18th century candlestick with the stepped square base with the stylised shell corners and thedetachable sconces. As you would expect from Goldsmiths & Silversmiths they are animpressivepair of candlesticks and they have been well used with some tiny holes to the silver high points on one stick (photo8&9) and some fairly basic old solder repairs to the other (photo10&11). They are structurally sound and a very decorative usable pair of Edwardian candlesticks from one of the best makers of the period sold with .
