Rare thick 4to King James Bible printed by notable printing Baskett family; this time by John Baskett in Oxford.
Bible bound in original leather boards with the front board crudely hand stitched back on with a nice folk art look, as shown. Covers pleasantly rounded and worn at extremities. Board also detached in rear. Gorgeous engraved title page to the Bible portion, as shown. Various early manuscript ownership notations from the Bushby family in the early to mid 1800s, as shown, also with later family notations from the DeWatney and Clayton family, c1940s. Bible measures approx 10\" tall x 7.5\" wide x4\" thick. Main block for the most part clean with minor foxing and browning, some light staining towards front and rear along edges of endpapers, as shown. Bible remains complete with all pages; BCP at front lacking title and all before signature B2; Concordance at the rear lacking final 4-5 leaves as well. Good luck!
