Here I have a hard to find, vintage (1940-42) Fenton Glass, Ivory Crest single horn epergne. A beautiful, uranium rich piece that was first created right before WW2 got going, but had to halt production when the supplies needed to produce the glass were needed for the war effort. That meant only 1 year or so of production. The color is amazing, even without the blacklight, it has a soft yellow with a slight look of green. Then the blacklight comes on and BAM- you see neon green, truly stunning. Then it is crowned with a crystal crest ..Gorgeous
The bowl is 11 1/4\" diameter, 3 1/2\" tall and the base is 3 3/8\" across. The flower frog is slightly under 3\" across and 1 1/2\" deep, rounds up in the middle where the single horn fits.
There are 7 holes for stemmed flower to fit into, around the horn. The horn is 5 5/8\" tall, 4\" across the ruffled top and 3/4\" across the bottom of the stem. Some light brownish staining inside the bowl , shown in my photos. I never tried to wash it out-it went right into the China Cabinet, far from my curious cats. I found no issues, no flea bites, chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. There are a few rough to the touch seam lines and the frog isn\'t totally flush in the bowl, once the flowers are added I\'m sure that would be corrected. What a wonderful wedding gift this would make !! Pre packaged weight is 2 pounds 6.8 ounces.
