This week\'s offering features.....A rare and spectacular vintage Squash Blossom necklace originating from sometime in the very early part of the last century to the mid-1900\'s. The silver is heavy gauge sand cast sterling and the turquoise is natural and stunning in color. It appears to belong to the Royston family, a luscious soft blue green Nevada turquoise of fine quality with lovely russet and sienna matrix. TEN fabulous FRIENDSHIP HANDS NAJA SQUASH BLOSSOMS with large (16-17mm) turquoise cabazons and fleur de lis blossoms are strung on a double bead chain above an impressive 3-Stone Naja. 10 Squash blossoms are 1-3/4\" long x 1\" wide. Central Naja measures approximately 3\" long x 2-3/8\" wide, is crowned with three turquoise cabazons measuring 21, 22, and 23mm long, with a fleur de lis blossom in the center. Traditional hand stamping. Handmade beads measure 8mm diameter. Strung on sturdy foxtail cable. Traditional hook and eye closure. Long at 29\" end to end, and heavy at 240 grams - 8-1/2 ounces. With naja length, the necklace hangs to 17\".
Unsigned. Most artists did not begin signing their work until after the 1960\'s. Tests sterling silver. Barely noticeable hairlines on a couple of stones and a tiny chip from one stone that do not affect the integrity of the turquoise. Great artistry of design blends with exellent quality old silversmithing. This definitely is a collector\'s piece, fashioned by a skilllful, inventive, and extremely talented artist of the era. Lovely aged patina. Don\'t let this one pass you by...it\'s a rare old beauty and one never to be repeated.... For CLASSIC BEAUTY and ELEGANCE,  I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER LIKE IT...!!!
