WOW! You are going to simply love what we just picked up on arecent Antique Road Show! An elderly gentleman walked up to our table and askedif we would be interested in purchasing his “Large” lifelong accumulation ofU.S. & World coins. We said certainly as we were the only antiquedealer at the show that also buys and sells coins and currency.

We asked some questionsabout how he acquired the coins and he explained that he made a lifetime careerin the military. He said he was stationed in Europe, Asia, The Middle East aswell as the U.S. just to name a few. During his military career and like manyfolks did back in the day, he saved all of his change that he acquired. Alsoduring his off time, he actually collected coins attending coin shows, swapmeets, pawn shops, etc. up to about 15 years ago when he fell ill and lostinterest in collecting.

He then went on to explainhe had a “LOT” of coins and he wasn’t joking! A few hours later, the elderlygentleman was back along with two muscular young lads that he said was hisgrandsons. Each were carrying large buckets and boxes of coins that even theyhad trouble carrying!

After many trips back andforth from the parking lot, we had sitting in front of our table what thegentleman estimated at well over 1400 pounds of coins. We wrote him a downpayment check, shipped them back to our office and just a few days ago agreed ona final settlement price.
