An Outstanding HUGE Old VintageEstate Zuni 7 Turquoise Nugget Bolo Tie masterfully handcrafted and hand tooled from heavy gaugecast sterling silver (.925) by renowned Native American Zuni master silversmith, Effie Calavaza (EFFIE C.)! This Bolo Slide measures a large 2-7/8\" tall by 2-1/8\" wide and incorporates Effie\'s distinctive Signature Snake design. The Bolo Slide features seven (7) large natural Turquoise Nuggets with lots of zat!The Turquoise Nuggets exhibits abeautifully aged Soft to Brilliant Blue and Blue-Green colors with interesting natural golden matrix inclusions! The largest of the Turquoise Nuggets measures 7/8\" long by 7/16\" wide, and each of the hand carved Nuggets is securely set in a wide hand cut sawtooth silver bezel with a smooth beautifully polished surface. Turquoise Nuggets have no chips or cracks!

Bolo features a Beautiful hand tooled Stampwork Border, consisting of clean repetitive deep-grooved die stamped Crescent Designs! Nugget Settings displayed on this Bolo Slide are accented with six (6) large silver raindrop beads and Effie C.\'s Signature Snake Design with Turquoise inlay Eyes! This hand tooled Snake coils around and through the stone settings, with the body of the Snake fully decorated with Traditional Native American stampwork and fine line detailing on the tail. The back of the Bolo Slide is fit with a Bennett-style closure that holds the cord tie in place and allows for adjustment. The Cord Tie is a thick braided well conditioned Black Leather that measures approximately 38\" end-to-end! The ends of the leather cord are perfectly finished with Beautiful OldSilver Ball Bolo Tips that measure approximately 2-1/4\" in length and have Sunrise stampwork at the top.The back of the Bolo Slide is hallmarked \"EFFIE C. ZUNI\" stamped in block letters, as well as some light freehand etching, some of which clearly reads \"Calavaza\". Bolo weighs a nice solid 82.5 grams! Excellent Old Vintage Estate condition. Effie Calavaza (Effie C.), a Zuni artist from New Mexico, is one of the most collected and most beloved of Native American Artists. Her wonderful jewelry incorporates large nuggets, primarily of quality turquoise and coral.Learning from her husband, Juan Calavaza, Effie began silversmithing in 1956.
