This large and complicated piece is very special. This figurine was first released in the U.S. market in the fall of 1991. Modeled by Master Sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in 1988. Issued as a limited production of 30,000 pieces,world wide, inividually numbered, to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Columbus\' discovery of America. The inscription reads: \"1492-1992 -- The Quincentennial of America\'s Discovery\" applied by blue decal. It has an incised 1988 copyright date. The \"M.I. Hummel\" signature is located on the back side of the boat. This piece is numbered 16278 out of 30,000. This figurine is only found in TMK 7.
Condition: very good condition, no chips, cracks, repairs, damage or defects that I can detect.
