Here we have an original Haitian Vodou Flag, aka a VoodooFlag. This is a classic work by the renowned Bel Aire artist, Edgar Jean-Louis (recently deceased). This Flag was producedin the late 1980-90\'s and is a highly collectable piece identifiedby his signature, \"Edgar\". The subject Lwa is Erzulie Freda, Goddess of Love and Beauty. The beadingand sequin work is very tight and this piece in very good condition, with only a couple of sequins missing, very hard to detect! Some use of dyed sequins attests to it\'s age. The colors are very bold and vibrant.The size is 28\" x 29\" overall, with a sleeve sewn on the back to hold a hanging rod.
