For your consideration:Here is a nice Vintage paper mache /pulp Jack O Lantern. It measures about 7.5 inches in height and about 8-8.5 inches in width. The oval opening in the top measures 3.5-4 inches. It includes what appears to be the original paper/cellophane face insert. The face insert is not in the best shape...tears and old tape. See picture. The lantern itself is in good shape despite its age. Chips, scuffs and wear, and a tear where the handle was attached. Still has original candle holder intact inside. A little melted wax inside on bottom. No signs of burns or smoke damage. Not sure if the wire handle is original...it appears to be copper.
This one most likely dates from around 1938-1940.Has the original makers mark tag intact in bottom. (don\'t see many of these around at all!) Label reads: Pulp Reproduction Company - Milwaukee Wisconsin. Made in U.S.A.Appears to be a limited edition in either paint scheme or form as it is hand numbered on the label 73/75.Look at all the pictures before considering.
