Don\'tconsider this as just a pipe. This is an absolute work of art and would make an excellent piece to display as such. Look closely at the detail of this hand-carving and you will see what I mean.
DESCRIPTION: Beautifully hand-carved Pipe, never used, brand new in case,with many finely detailed features. You will find the master carver\'s signature on many of the upper-end medallion pipes. This is one of the upper-end \'medallion\' pipes with the master carver\'s signature. Please see photos for exact item. These pipes are very detailed and range in price from 79.00 to well over 800.00 for the more intricately carved medallion pipes, depending on the amount of detail paid to what is being carved and whether it is of a solid block. Thisis one of the higher end \'medallion\' pipes carved from a solid block of Meershaum. It was never used and is being offered here to someone who can appreciate what it is and perhaps get some use from it. It still has the wonderful aroma of the Tobacco that was stored with it. Although I do not smoke, I can certainly appreciate the wonderful aroma of many of the Tobacco mixtures sold exclusively at the pipe shops.
For those of you not familiar with the mineral, Meershaum, the light color of the carving will change colors when used. It is the nature of the materials used for carving to eventually produce a warm amber or gold color. The more it is used the darker the color will become. This is why you see these pipes in various shades from ivory to dark amber or even brown. As you can see by the color, it has never been used.
