This is a fabulous Victorian Irish Nightdress. It dates approximately 1890. It is entirely HANDMADE. See the stitches in the close up pics. Itcloses by a hidden panel of shell buttons down the front. The front flap hides the buttons. The button holes are even hand made. It is very decorative with pin tucks and frills - all hand edged.

It is a very big size. These were always made very big and baggy for comfort. 42\" around the chest and 52\" long.
