For yourconsideration we are offering this wonderful hand painted pottery basket signedand made in Italy. The pottery basket has a wonderful Picasso like mid centurymodern style design. The pottery basket is glazed white with stylized bird andhorse and rectangles with stripes and dots. All the design elements have agreen color shadow like accent to the design. The colors on the design arebright and vibrant. The basket edge and handle are painted a gold. The edge andthe top of the handles have a pottery circle painted to resemble a jewel. Thepottery basket is marked on the bottom with Hand Painted Italy followed by asignature. I am guessing the signature may be the artist. I could not read thesignature. Because I was unable to positively read the signature, I do not knowthe maker or the exact age of this piece. The design is in the style of mid centurymodern, however; I cannot say for sure what the age of this piece is. Thepottery basket is in good condition. The gold color has wear from use and age.There is also a shallow chip in the gold color along the rim/edge. the basketmeasures approximately 4 & 3/4\" long and the pottery basket measuresapproximately 3 & 1/4\" wide from side to side. The basket measuresapproximately 4 & 3/4\" tall. This gem will make a fine addition toyour collection. I take great care in packaging your purchase.
