Here are 2 of the most wonderful Hand Painted Vintage Oval Platers we have ever seen. That\'s right you get both (show stopping) platters for one price. The platters are hand made with a very soft flat glaze, and gentle ripples from being worked by hand. Both pieces are 23 1/2\" long x 8 1/2\" wide, and Both are signed.
Both pieces have small glaze skips, color spots, finger marks in glaze, these are all normal for vintage hand made pieces.The first one in the photos hangs horizontally (side to side), it has a water front, village, mountain scene. It is signed on the back Di Nove Italy, and a name that we can\'t read. This piece has a shiny back glaze. It has a piece of twine on the back that should be replaced with wire before hanging. Has some glaze skips and a dark mark under the original glaze on the back side end, shown in pictures. The second one hangs vertically (up and down), it also has a water front, village, mountain scene. Signed Lind on the front, with a paper label on the back that says Venoluto? This piece has a softer back glaze. We assume this piece is older than the other one, because it is more crudely made. It has a lot more of the glaze skips, finger prints in the back side glaze, sand showing through back side glaze, color spots, and a small surface firing split on the back side. Shown in pictures. Also, replace the old string with wire before trying to hang on a wall.
