Bought this shirt many years ago at the Western National Rendezvous in Lodge Pole Montana where the standing rule was no gear allowed post 1840 era. I found it on Trader\'s Row and bought it from a mountain man who needed the cash for gas to get back home.
The shirt is incredibly well constructed and has the distinct smell of properly smoked deer hide. Sides of shirt are laced intermittently to allow ventilation as was the custom. Fringe is curled and twisted for effect. Leather is sturdy and well preserved. Paint is in great shape and not cracking or peeling at all. Neck hem is in great shape.
