Amazing RUSSIAN religious icon Wooden egg was hand made and hand painted - artist signature on bottom. The center of the egg features The Virgin Mary holding Jesus. The egg is hand made out of solid wood richly decorated with beautiful golden ornaments, hand painted and lacquered over with shiny smooth lacquer. It sits on a wooden stand which was hand made specially for this egg. This Russian wooden egg is painted with stunning detail in the style of famous antique Russian orthodox icons of 19th century. The egg is 5\" high x 4\" across. & the stand is 2 3/4\" high. This gorgeous work of art will make a valuable addition to one\'s collection. There is RUSSIAN writing on the back - translated in English I believe means \"Save and Protect\". Beautiful condition.
