Sturdy oak base some 5½\" square carries an attractive magneto electric device intended for electrotherapy. The oxbone handle turns a large brass wheel which bears on the shaft of the coil (the shaft has a white rubber sheath which is not in the best of condition but easy to renew). The device has a pair of wooden-handled brass electrodes which are stored on ebony bosses attached to the base. The brass rod protruding at the front (between the two electrodes) moves a keeper across and away from the poles of the large permanent magnet which is the dominant feature of the device.
