This is a rather heavy belt buckle and when I say heavy I mean HEAVY (take this into account when purchasing, seriously take it into consideration), I personally wouldn\'t wear a belt using a buckle as heavy as this, it\'s more than 1/2 a pound in weight!! It was produced by Lewis Buckles of Chicago for the National Pork Producers Council and was from their first Casting in December 1975. It\'s oval in shape, 3 3/8 inch wide and 2 5/8 inch long, takes a belt strap of approximately 1 5/8 inch wide. The casting seam is visible as you can see in the photographs but this is a manufacturing issue and not damage. A couple of tiny dings on the edge that are barely noticeable and smooth to the touch (no sharp edge to them) though the casting seam is rough to the touch but as we have said is a manufacturing issue as opposed to damage.
