Up for sale is an amazing pair of Charles Eames designed side chairs for Herman Miller. These have a rare and sharp turquoise blue covering with Alexander Girard selected turquoise blue. The shell of the chair is white fiberglass. Very unique wire attachment under the chair to secure the naugahyde cover. Original design, 1950\'s authentic! Over 60 years old.
Overall great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and patina. The shells are in great shape, no cracks or chips. The covers very solid as well, no seam splitting at all.
You\'ll be hard pressed to find a matching pair like this again. Take a look, this is the pair of Herman Miller chairs that can complete any collection.
On the underside of the chairs is the signed Herman Miller embossed logo with the S/circle, marking the Summit Plastics plant. There is also a triangular stamp marking Summit. This plant produced the fiberglass chairs for Herman Miller and was selected by the Eames\' specifically so they could monitor color.
