Hermes CadreNoir Silk Scarf Rare Authentic. Availablefor your consideration is a rare, chic and authentic Hermes Cadre Noir (“BlackFrame”) Silk Scarf. Designed by ColonelG. Margot for Hermes, the scarf was first issued in 1960. The motif pays tribute to elite French equestrianinstructors at the prestigious École Nationale d\'Équitation (“National RidingSchool”), which was started in 1828 and remains in existence today. Cadre Noir takesits name from the black uniforms, which are still being used today. Hermes’1993 Spring/Summer Collection Catalog describes the Cadre Noir design asfollows: “A rider of the famous military school of Saumur demonstrates in 13images that a horse can understand and do anything, as long as one knows how toask it of him. A pirouette at a gallop, the croupade, courbette and passage:ultimate expressions of a true art form.”According to Carrés d’Art, by Genevieve Fontan; Hermes’ Cadre Noir SilkScarf is a 3D, which means “quite rareand quite sought after.” Colorwaysinclude hues of gold, red, green, beige, blue, grey and black on a white backgroundwith golden yellow border.
