Up for sale is vintage mid-century modern Heywood-WakefieldWhalebone table and chairs. This is aset of Heywood-Wakefield Triple Whalebone / Wishbone Dining Table (model 197G) with 4Heywood Wakefield chairs (model 537), all in walnut finish. These are all marked pieces. The chairs are cool and rare models.

This is the Walnut finish and hard to find. It makes the wood grain pop. The typical for the Heywood Wakefield is the Wheat or Champagne finish which is ok, but a lighter finish. The walnut is richer and deeper finish. This finish gives it a bit more formal look but you can also use it as informal seating because it is a drop leaf too.

The table comes with two removable 18\" leaf inserts (as extensions).Very nice and cool originaldesign from the 1950\'s, with the two attached drop-leaves up this table will stretch outto 94\" long!

This table expands and reducesfor your different seating - for example:

40\" x 26\" with drop down, seating for 2 …up to …40\"x 94\" with drop up and both leaves in place, seating for 10. The tableheight is 28 1/2\".

This set is in great condition with low wear on table topand leaves. The Chairs wereprofessionally re-finished and re-upholstered and a few years ago in AtlantaGA. The set has not been used much sinceit was in a formal dining room and now we moved to a smaller place so it needsto go. It’s a great period piece andset.
