Historic \"All-Time Team\" Signed Baseball w/ Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson & Tris Speaker JSA
On August 4, 1944, baseball notables of past and present gathered at Shibe Park to commemorate Connie Mack and his then (50) year Managerial career. As part of the festivities Mack compiled his \"All-Time Team\" comprised of those whom he felt represented the best position players alive at the time. Mack announced each player as they lined up beside him on the field of play. All who were in attendance have signed this Official American League (Harridge) ball with the exception of Honus Wagner. Signatures include: Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson, Tris Speaker, Eddie Collins, George Sisler, Frank Baker, Al Simmons, Lefty Grove & Bill Dickey. The Ruth signature is enormous and incredibly bold. The ball is clear coated with toning and surface wear throughout. This is one of very few \"All-Time Team\" balls known to exist. Featuring five members of the Inaugural Hall of Fame Class! Includes a Full Letter of Authenticity from JSA (#Y99674). (Photograph shown of the event is not included).
