Description/Interesting Notes:

A historic example of native gold from this classic New Mexico locale!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a mass of native gold in addition to several other scattered grains!!! There is also a significant showing of an unidentified silvery gray metallic mineral in association as well (upon close inspection one can see that these are masses of elongated, somewhat bladed/platy crystals - superficially similar to stibnite)!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Joseph D\'Agostino Collection with Calvert Collection notation as well!!! This specimen is from the collection of Joe Cilen and retains his original lable as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
