Gone but not forgotten. Late steam, early Streamliner locomotive 1937Buffalo nickel. The Pennsylvania RR (PRR) \"Broadway Limited\" s one of the most distinct locomotives of the day and wonderful \"art deco shape. Designed by the famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy, this was a very pretty locomotive.

Hand carved and engraved, very nice contrast with lots of fine linedetail with 24K gold inlay sun and headlight, I think it has very nice eye appeal.

The hobo nickel is a sculptural artform involving the creative modification of small-denomination coins,essentially resulting in miniature bas reliefs. The nickel, becauseof its size, thickness, and relative softness, was a favored coin forthis purpose.
