Garrett Honahnie is from the village Kykotsmovi. His clan is Bamboo, and his father is of the Coyote clan from the village of Moenkopi. His artwork tells stories, which in his family, storytelling goes back to his great grandmother. He uses the colors and different symbols to tell stories of Hopi and the meaning of all things that we see, hear, tasteĀ and touch. His artwork talents consist of Kachina dolls, gourds, magnets, and drawings amongst many others. He mostly use acrylic paint along with some natural pigments in his painting. The wood he uses is of the cottonwood root and others.
This beautiful little doll is 3 1/2 inches tall. She was signed but signature has blurred and smudged due to some water damage on bottom. Damage does not go into the rest of the doll, ONLY THE BOTTOM WHERE THE SIGNATURE WAS IS AFFECTED.
