rhythm and blues and music indigenous to the Louisiana Creoles and the Native people of Louisiana.
If Clifton Chenier was the king of zydeco music, Rockin\' Doopsie (pronounced doopsie),
with his unequaled proficiency on the button accordion, was its crown prince.
He recorded with stars musicians like Paul Simon, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Dylan, and appeared in films
such as “Delta Heat”, and continued recording and performing until his death in 1993.
