You are offerding ona very large specimen of 12 sided dodecahedron almandineStar Garnetfrom Emerald Creek, Fernwood, Idaho.

Star garnets are only found in two places in the world, Idaho and India.

It measures1 1/4 x 1 1/2 x 1 3/8inchesand weighs 76 grams or 380 carats and 2.7 ounces. (The gram weight is a close estimate, my scale only goes to 50 grams) This will make a nice addition to your collection.
