This sale is for a gorgeous antique Gothic style church bench/pew. We purchased this from friends that lived in England from 1952-1975 and they brought all of their furniture to a beautiful ocean front home in Swampscott, MA and shipped all there furniture by way of storage container back in 1975. They are now selling their house in Swampscott and moving to St Augustine, FL to be with their grandchildren now that they are retired but they did not need some of their English made furniture so they sold the leftovers to us and this is one of the items. Solid OAk, super well built with some hand carved elements. They just don\'t make them like this anymore. The leather is still in fairly good condition I believe they had it redone years ago but the felt/velvet on the back of the bench I believe to be original to the time it was constructed. They said this came out of a church in England that was actually falling apart so we are lucky they were able to grab this and salvage it to the USA. It measures 108\" long X 22\" deep X 36\" high.
