An extraordinary antique folder in excellent condition! The solid cardboard body is covered with cream and soft green silk moire, the front completely hand embroidered with a typical end 19th century flower basket, in silk thread and sequins.
This came from a Paris fashion house where it was probably destinated to collect orders and special notes. Since it has been the highlight of the embroidery section of a small museum and now it is available for your gift list. Apparently unused it ha been well conserved
without any wear or loss, quite clean and could be said \'in as new condition\" if not for a tiny storage mark on the back and the central string to reattach at the bottom end.
it measures 14 3/4\" x 10 1/2\" closed
This is a fantastic addition to any ladies writing desk or boudoir table as it is strong enough to be used!

As far as possible (up to 2 kilo), and unless otherwise required by the buyer I use a low-rate small parcel shipping that usually travels between 2 and 3 week for a reasonable price and can be tracked and insured up to 150 Euro.
The express mail, if travelling only 1 week, starts at 30$ + insurance and requires more complete forms to fill, customs and other...I\'m always glad to combine shipping but please let me know in advance when you plan several purchases (to avoid unnecessary packing)
I charge no packing or handling fees and I use recycled wrappings and boxes as far as possible. Indicated shipping price is an estimation. If after packing there is a difference, I refund the exceeding amount, if I underestimated, the difference is for me. Except snow-storm or car-problem I send the day following payment.
Please be aware that whatever I\'m listing, (mostly fabric, materials, costume pieces, lace and accessoires to repair) it can sometimes be in good condition but it is NEVER NEW from a shop shelf!!!! (so signs of a former life are often noticeable unless they are described clearly as VGC or AS NEW)
