Description:This sale is for the 3 Chime Brass Steam Whistle pictured above.The overall condition is very nice noting that the lever handle on the Lunkenheimer valve has been repaired. The marked Lunkenheim valve seems to work just fine. I have been told the whistle is a Buckeye. The whistle has not been tested, but I guarantee it will work properly. The body is nice and has just a few minor scuffs. Note the great form and early style acorn finial at the top. I see no maker marks on the whistle itself, just the name Lunkenheimer on the valve. Steam whistles like this could have been used on railroad locomotives / trains, ships or boats, or in factories to signal lunch or danger. Please check all the pics to see just how nice this is.
